WAYNESBORO, Pa. — NASA scientist Todd Toth will discuss last summer’s total solar eclipse and review data collected by observers during a free program Thursday, Nov. 16, at 6:30 p.m. in the visitors center at Renfrew Park in Waynesboro.
Toth helped people gather data about the Aug. 21 eclipse during an event at the park that hundreds attended.
“In the Waynesboro area, the moon obscured about 79 percent of the sun, allowing viewers to both see and feel this unique event,” Toth said in a statement.
NASA set up ground-based science investigations across the United States to study the sun’s corona and solar winds.
Parking is available behind the visitors center, with additional parking in the lower lot off Welty Road.
