Several renowned NASA astronauts have recently denounced rapper B.o.B's GoFundMe campaign to prove the Earth is flat. This comes in the wake headlines last week where rapper B.o.B began raising money to send a satellite into space in order to prove the Earth is flat.
B.o.B plans to send a satellite as far into space as he can and take a photo of Earth, which he believes will prove the Earth is flat. Thankfully, we have quite a few NASA astronauts that have been to space themselves and can prove the Earth is not flat from personal photos.
The cities in the background are approx. 16miles apart... where is the curve ? please explain this http://pic.twitter.com/YCJVBdOWX7

The astronauts go on to urge B.o.B to raise funds for more appropriate causes, such as our fellow Americans suffering on Puerto Rico. Here's Scott Kelly's video of a full orbit around Earth. The same Scott Kelly that in 2015 set the record for the most days spent in space by an American astronaut at 520 total days.
Show you the curve? Here you go @bobatl! One full orbit around Earth. Maybe donate funds raised to #PuertoRicoReliefhttps://t.co/bhJSXfwYXLhttp://pic.twitter.com/rFAysS2clc

So far, however, it doesn't appear that B.o.B is convinced, tweeting that people discourage others from doing something when they have something to hide. Or, maybe they are discouraging you because that's how humans become smarter, build on the experiences and knowledge of the past. Most people don't assume the world is trying to hide something when they say don't look directly at the sun, touch a hot stove, etc.

NASA astronaut Terry Virts came to the defense of a round Earth as well, asking B.o.B to save the money and use it for a better cause.
I can save BoB a lot of money- The Earth is round. I flew around it. https://t.co/F7qAovPEng@bobatl@BBCWorld

If that wasn't enough, hopefully, you'd believe former NASA astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the second man on the moon.
I did too. It's called an orbit: the curved path of a celestial object around a star, planet, or moon. https://t.co/h8GQJadfxD

It doesn't look likely that anyone will convince rapper B.o.B the Earth is round. Hopefully, the best that we can do is convince all of his supporters to donate to better causes and not waste their money proving something that's been proved thousands of times, the Earth is round.
