An incredible discovery has been made outside of the Milky Way galaxy.
Astronomers using data from NASA's Chandra X-Ray Observatory and the European Southern Observatory's very large telescope found this neutron star, which is the first of its kind found outside the Milky Way galaxy. It is located some 200,000 light years from earth.
Neutron stars are the ultra dense cores of massive stars that collapse and undergo a supernova explosion.
