(Meredith) – NASA has announced it will discuss its plan on handling near-Earth objects (NEOs) that could pose a hazard to the planet.
The plan is called the “National Near-Earth Object Preparedness Strategy and Action Plan” and will focus on how the U.S. government will handle objects from space that approach Earth.
"While no known NEOs currently pose significant risks of impact, the report is a key step to addressing a nationwide response to any future risks." – NASA
NASA's plan will be discussed and livestreamed on Wednesday, June 20 at 1 p.m. EDT during a teleconference.
